Japanese Cinema WorkshopWelcome to the Japanese Cinema Workshop's homepage. We are a collective group of graduate students at the University of Chicago interested in Japanese Cinema. Currently we have organized a retrospective film screening of the work of cinematographer Masaki Tamura. In conjunction with the film series there will also be a symposium entitled, “The Activist Camera: Class, Sexuality and Ethnicity in Japanese Film.” This site presents all the information and latest news concerning these ongoing events.
